The Ghost of the highwayman

For my final graduate project, I Interpreted Alfred noyes’s 1906 poem ‘The Highwayman’ into a gothic film adaptation. I designed for 4 characters a total of 7 costumes. I made the ghost of the highwayman’s costume and created a short film to showcase it.

Concept / World Board

Genre: Gothic Romantic

Setting: English countryside, late 18th century

Costuming Plan: Mostly historically accurate silhouettes and fabrics with less conventional colour, fabric techniques and embellishment that symbolise themes, motifs and a character’s arc.
